Ingredients
1-1/2 Lbs. Jimmy Dean Hot Sausage, Cooked and Drained |
6 Slices Bread, Cubed |
2 Cups Milk |
8 Eggs, Beaten |
1-1/2 Cup Cheddar Cheese, Shredded |
1 Tsp. Salt |
Seasoned Salt, To-taste |
White Pepper, To-taste |
Accent, Dash |
Instructions
- Cook and brown sausage, drain.
- Mix all ingredients, except for ½ cup cheddar cheese, together in a mixing bowl, transfer to a baking dish, cover, and refrigerate overnight.
- Remove the casserole from the refrigerator 20-30 minutes prior to baking.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Sprinkle ½ cup cheddar cheese on top of the casserole and bake for 1 hour.
Great recipe for brunch – make ahead and place in a warming tray lightly sprayed with butter or oil for serving. The original recipe did not state hot or regular sausage. You can do 1 lb. hot and ½ lb. regular sausage for less spice.
